Grand Opening of the Virtual Cultivar Library

Here at Humboldt Farms, we are not just cultivators, we are connoisseurs! We believe in the power of plant medicine, which is part of why we grow in the first place. We also believe in providing quality information about our products, so our community can know as much as possible about the cannabis they consume.

The Cultivar Library is a virtual catalog of our current and available varieties of flower and concentrate. Cultivar is a term specifically used to describe plants that are grown to have unique and specific characteristics. Though most people refer to these varieties as strains, the term cultivar speaks to the unique qualities each variety contains. Something we love about cannabis is how differently each strain can affect us. Learning the primary terpenes can help us get a sense of how these strains differ, but it isn’t the full picture.It is important to remember that each cultivar has a unique cannabinoid profile that also determines the overall potency and effect. We hope this Cultivar Library is a step on your journey of learning more about this beloved plant ally. 

We believe our farm partners to be the best in Humboldt County. These experienced farmers have perfected the art of growing by paying close attention to their own farms over the years, learning about their soil and the best  amounts of sun and shade, rain and shine. They know how to nurture different varieties of cannabis that grow best on their land. Best of all, we are in close communication with all of our farm partners to ensure we get consistent results and improve our techniques with every cycle. Using the term cultivar, helps describe the kind of care and attention we place on our cultivation practices. 

We want you to be able to experience the variety and become connoisseurs too! With this Cultivar Library, you can search by strain or phenotype or simply browse the directory. Each Cultivar Card will show the strain name, flavor, aroma, and primary terpenes - including images of our buds and concentrates. Check back regularly, as we will be adding to this library every time we release new strains!
