give all strains a chance
New scientific research shows that there may not be much of a correlation between THC content and how high people can get. This article from Futurism references a scientific study that assessed a group of 121 individuals smoking a variety of different cannabis concentrates and flowers from the legal market. “While [they] saw striking differences in blood levels between the two groups, they were similarly impaired.”
This means that cannabis consumption may not hit people the way we all thought -- as in, the more someone smokes the higher they can get. It also challenges a common assumption that the higher THC percentage of a product correlates to how stoned someone can be.
At Humboldt Farms we aim to produce the highest quality, sun-grown flower and aim for high potency strains in our flower and high potency concentrates - we never compromise quality for quantity. What we mean is that our farmers are not only growing cannabis that is going to hit that high THC percentage a lot of people look for, but cultivating flower with a full spectrum effect. We not only want to get people high but also want to provide potent plant medicine that has positive effects on the entire body. In our opinion, good weed gets you high, also has incredible flavor, lowers stress levels, makes the body feel good, inspires creativity, and connects us to a deeper sense of self. We want smoking a bowl, taking a dab, or having a puff from a vape pen to feel like a breath of fresh air - just like the fresh Humboldt air our plants are grown in.
We have a lot of incredible strains that “test lower.” Some may recall one of our batches of Pineapple Upside Down Cake that tested around 15% - and while many of the “High THC-only folks” did not want to give it a chance, we got RAVE reviews on it for flavor and feeling.
Our Live Resin carts also test lower than some brands, but we have a very good reason for that. To make our carts fully smokeable, we have to keep the high testing crystals out of the mix, otherwise, they usually get stuck in the cartridge.
All we are saying is give all strains a chance! For our true cannabis connoisseurs, we think it is worth trying all our strains regardless of THC content. Hopefully, these articles give you a bit more insight and confidence knowing that once you are high, you are high. And sometimes the key to a better high is not more THC but more full-spectrum cannabinoids, which our plants have a lot of. But don’t take our word for it, give some of our lower testing strains a try and tell us what you think! We love hearing feedback from our community and hope you CHOOSE KINDLY.
